RAD announce LRS-102 Version 3.3
RAD are pleased to announce the release of the LRS-102 Software version 3.3 into their product portfolio.
The LRS-102 is a cost-effective, modular central rack solution for RAD’s Optimux fiber multiplexers or ASMi-54 SHDSL.bis modems. Part of RAD’s Multi-Access & Last Mile portfolio, the LRS-102 extends E1/T1s, data and Ethernet traffic up to 120 km (74.5 miles) over fiber optic links, and Ethernet over SHDSL.bis up to 2.6 km (1.8 miles) over copper.
Version 3.3 introduces a new module, ASMi-54C/E1/ETH/N, a high port density module supporting up to 8 E1 ports and 2 ETH ports,
LRS-102 presents an affordable solution for service providers and private network operators who wish to replace their TDM infrastructure with new packet switched networks (PSN) and introduce next-generation Ethernet services.
RAD’s MAP & Last Mile portfolio offers a true migration path as it allows TDM and packet service collocation over fiber and copper. Deploying the LRS-102 fiber and copper multiplexer rack as a central solution therefore saves on collocation costs, avoids multiple IP addresses in the network, and delivers a higher port density chassis, resulting in a lower price per port.
