With an eye towards the future of connectivity, The Kenton Group is proud to announce that in response to the G.Fast initiative by Openreach,
the GFR-9511 modem has received crucial MCT approval and is ready for rollout to customers. Openreach has annouced they are continuing to move forward
with the G.Fast initiative by connecting 81 Cities across the UK by summer of 2019, and plan on extending the FTTP rollout to 10 million premises by the mid 2020s.
In 2018 alone, Openreach have been investing in the future of G.Fast by hiring, training and providing tools for more than 3,500 new engineers and
focusing on FTTP training for both new and existing Openreach engineers.
The GFR-9511 G.Fast modem is available from The Kenton Group delivering performance between 150Mb and 1Gbit depending upon loop length. In not only provides G.Fast but will also fallback to VDSL2/ADSL2+, to work on existing infrastructure. Device provides 5 Gigabit Ethernet ports, WLAN 802.11n 2.4GHz frequency band and 802.11ac 5GHz Frequency
band, a USB2.0 host port which provides the necessary high-speed access with USB devices and two FXS ports for VoIP.
